As a skilled wordsmith and storyteller, I have a passion for molding and creating content that is tailored to each project and its desired outcome. Since 2011, I have been a full-time, self-employed writer and editor, splitting my time between San Francisco and San Diego.

Working with me is a collaborative, creative process. From the very beginning, I make a point to tailor my work to best meet the client’s needs. Whether I’m editing, writing, or managing a product, every project begins with a client interview to learn about the project’s goals and desired outcomes. After the initial client interview, I start the project in a clear and organized manner by building a detailed project plan and schedule. My ultimate goal is to deliver a product that makes the client dance, hoot, and holler with happiness.

I enjoy helping small businesses grow by crafting website and marketing copy that effectively communicates their unique brand. From lawyers and restaurateurs to plastic surgeons and hardware store owners, I’ve worked with a diverse group of professionals to develop website and collateral copy that speaks to their ideal customer. I use my journalism background to craft brief, yet impactful messages that hook the customer.

I honed my editing and editorial project management skills during my career as an in-house editor with two of the largest educational publishers. Throughout my 15 years of experience, I’ve broadened my editorial skills to specialize in the creation of non-fiction print and web-based publications, including memoirs, operations manuals, textbooks, study guides, and other educational products.
